‘The Voice’ Season 25 Blind Auditions, part 5: A losing game of musical no-chairs
The season's penultimate auditions episode began with a group coach performance of "Put a Little Love in Your Heart," but some contestants got no love at all.
The Voice Season 25 Blind Auditions continued apace Monday, and with all of the teams filling up fast, the coaches had to be pretty picky. The result was a fodder-padded episode starring several no-chair also-rans (JJ Higgins, Emma Valentine, Moelle, we hardly knew ye), plus some one-chairs that probably should have been no-chairs (Zoe Levert, Ryan Coleman, the understandably montaged Zeya Rae).
However, the highlight of the night was a triumphantly returning reject from Season 21, who (spoiler alert) this time around turned all the chairs. There were also two stellar singers, Ronnie Wilson and AJ Harvey, who likely would’ve turned five chairs if their auditions had taken place earlier in the season. So, while this was a largely disappointing episode (and I fully expect Tuesday, the final auditions episode of the season, to be even more underwhelming), there were a few Monday moments that had me sitting up straight in my own chair and paying rapt attention.
