Sunday’s top seven results shock everyone, including the contestants.

Last week on American Idol Season 23, Josh King sang a song called “Home,” by Michael Bublé… and he went home. This Sunday, as the top seven became the top five, Gabby Samone did another song called “Home,” from The Wiz… and she went home.

Remember the “‘Feeling Good’ Curse” of past American Idol seasons? Well, now there’s the “‘Home’ Curse.” Apparently the only Idol contestants who have luck with tunes by that title are Chris Daughtry and Phillip Phillips. I strongly advise against any of Season 23’s surviving contestants covering Chris or Phillip’s “Home,” or the “Homes” by Marc Broussard, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Ingrid Michaelson, One Direction, Cavetown, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Three Days Grace, Blue October, or LCD Soundsystem, for that matter. (The LCD Soundsystem cover would be cool, admittedly, but why risk it?)
