‘American Idol’ Season 23 reveals its top three: Lightning doesn’t strike twice for Thunderstorm Artis
Thunderstorm made 'The Voice' finale in 2020, but this time he stalled in the top five, along with another very deserving contender.

Monday’s American Idol episode featured another night of Disney songs, but for Slater Nalley and Thunderstorm Artis, the Idol set was not the happiest place on Earth. As I’d predicted — and also dreaded — after the live coast-to-coast vote, when the top five became the top three, both singer-songwriters were edged out, and they missed making the Season 23 finale by just one week.
